Recently I went on a health binge because I realized I was getting overweight. I knew that if I continued down the same path there could be dire consequences. So I started on a quest to find foods that can help me lose weight. It would be so easy if there were sections of the super market for just healthy foods. It would be so much easier to get the foods that can help me lose weight. Since the supermarkets do not separate the foods for us, I decided to give a list of the foods that can boost metabolism or help to lose weight. Here they are:
1. Oatmeal - This is one of the healthiest foods in the world. It is high in fiber which helps to lose weight, but also helps to lower cholesterol.
2. Fish Oil, Salmon or All Natural Peanut Butter - All of these contain omega 3 fatty acids which are essential for fat loss and a healthy heart.
3. Apples - These are also high in fiber and a great source of vitamins
4. Eggs Whites - Many diet have eggs whites in them because they are high in protein and low in fat
5. Beans - They are also high in fiber and contain protein as well
6. Water - Although some consider it to not be a food, it is highly important in losing weight.

There are many ways to lose weight nowadays. Most of them are gimmicks and not real lasting diets, but learning how to lose weight quickly can be easy if you know what to look for. We will discuss how to find the right diet for you and then how to stick with it to ensure lasting results.
The main building blocks in a diet that teaches you how to lose weight quickly are consistency and quality. If you follow a program consistently you will have results. Now the quality one is a little more tricky. You must take a hard look at the program in front of you. If the diet is having you eat or drink really off the wall or weird things then it is probably not a quality diet to follow. Also if the diet has you not eating for more than two days a week then it is also probably not quality as well.
So when finding the diet look at the foods you must eat. If they are a wide variety of all natural foods you probably have a winner. If it is not then you should probably skip that diet plan. Also most good diets suggest that you add an exercise program to your eating program. If your diet does not have you exercise it is probably not the right one for you.
